Each discipline has its own criteria; however the point system is the same for all competitions. Whether you are good at aerials, tracking, target landing or wing suit flying, you always got a chance to win the overall competition.
Each competition will be scored with the same amount of points for the rank you achieved.
Thus the best overall BASE jumper will win the world cup and crown himself PROBASE World Champion. For scoring of each discipline please refer to individual point system.
Scoring and Rules ProBASE Wingsuit Race:
4 timed qualification rounds for all competitors, fastest 16 overall times will advance to semi finals
fastest 16 will compete in timed semi final round, times will determine pairing for final round, times from quali rounds will be omitted, in case 2 pilots have the same time, the faster overall time reached in the qualification rounds will determine which pilot advances into the final.
fastest 8 will compete in final round in elimination mode
in case the competition cannot be completed for whatever reason, the accumulated result up until the last fully completed round will count as the final result.
i.e. The competition has to be suspended because of bad weather during the 3rd qualification round and is later cancelled. In this case the results from round one and two will be added and the 3 fastest overall times from those 2 rounds will win the medals. Also, the 8 fastest times from those 2 rounds will be awarded the World Cup points.
Canopy time
The minimum canopy time after opening is 25 seconds, measured from when the PC leaves the pilot´s hand to when the first part of the body touches the ground. If the canopy time is below 25 seconds, the pilot will be disqualified.
Lane Invasion
A pilot who invades the lane of his race partner or crosses the imaginary line drawn between the 2 pilots will be disqulaified even if he doesn´t inhibit the other pilot.
